Description
The ALF Type L-Shaped Water Hammer Absorber, also known as a Pulsation Damper, is designed to absorb the impact caused by the sudden stoppage of water flow due to the rapid closure of shut-off valves. This prevents noise and potential damage caused by water hammer.
The L-shaped design allows the device to integrate more naturally into the pipeline system, offering both aesthetic and practical benefits.
• The ALF water hammer arrester operates with a pressurized air chamber behind a flexible diaphragm, avoiding the response lag, friction wear, seal leakage, or air loss seen in other designs.
• Water hammer occurs downstream of check valves or non-return valves when the horizontal pipe length exceeds 50 meters, or when pumps are used in the pipeline system during start-up or shutdown. Installing the ALF series in-line water hammer arresters will significantly reduce the impact of water pressure waves caused by sudden changes in water flow.
